1894   Attended New York University
1899   Enrolled in the Art Student's League, where he studied with William Merritt Chase
1907   Greacen settled with his family in a small house in Giverny and became good friends with Monet’s son-in-law, Theodore Earl Butler, and his wife Marthe Hoschedé Butler
1908   Greacen and his family returned to New York
1924   Founded the Grand Central Art School
1937   Suffered the first of a series of strokes
1944   The Greacens moved to the Gulf Coast of Florida
1949   Greacen died at the age of seventy-three, White Plains, NY
