Cameron Martin (American, b.1970) is a Contemporary artist best known for his intricate grisaille studies of rocky landscapes and trees. Martin received his BA from Brown University in Providence, RI in 1994; and completed the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program in New York, NY in 1996. Martin has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2010 John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, the 2008 Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship, and the 2001 Artists at Giverny Fellowship and Residency in Giverny, France. He was included in the 2004 Whitney Biennial in New York. Born in Seattle, WA, the artist now resides in Brooklyn, and is represented by Van Doren Waxter and Eleven Rivington.
