In the late 1920s the artist worked for MGM studios in their art department and then moved to Chicago working for the Liberty and various advertising firms.

|
Moved back to New York, NY. Began a long career as an illustrator for the Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan, Red Book, Good Housekeeping and McCall’s as well as creating illustrations for Western cowboy novels. The artist made trips through the West and Southwest for background materials.
