Akram Zaatari Biography
1966   Born in Saida, Lebanon
1989   Bachelor of Archaeology, The American University of Beirut
1995   Master of Arts in Media Studies, The New School University, New York
1997   Founding member of the "Arab Image Foundation" and "The Lebanese Association For Contemporary Art", organizer of the former AYLOUL festival
1998   Best international short video, Antalya Golden Orange film festival, for "Crazy of You"
1998   Best documentary & best director, Beirut film festival, for "Crazy of You"
1999   Since then, he has been working as an art curator worldwide (London, Beirut, Brussels, Damascus etc.)
2001   Special Jury Award, Videolisboa, for “Red Chewing Gum”
2002   First Prize at the Ismailia film Festival for “Her + Him Van Leo”
1995 - 2004   Taught at several universities in Beirut and abroad
