created his notable Penetrables series which explored the movement of Kinetic art as it allowed the viewer to participate or move through the piece.

the Jesús Soto Museum of Modern Art opened in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela with a collection of his work

Died Paris, France on January 20th and is buried in the Cimetière du Montparnasse.
