artnet is pleased to partner with TEFAF Maastricht for the 2013 season. TEFAF Maastricht is considered to be the world's leading art and antiques fair. From March 14 through 25, 2013, 265 dealers from 19 countries will bring the best of their collections to Maastricht, in the southern part of the Netherlands. TEFAF's strict vetting is conducted by 175 experts in 29 disciplines. The authenticity, quality, and condition of each artwork are carefully examined before the fair opens to the public. Every year, around 72,000 art collectors, professionals, and other enthusiasts find their way to TEFAF.
The 2013 edition will host a remarkable loan exhibition of rarely seen drawings by Vincent van Gogh. The 15 drawings loaned by the Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum have been specially chosen to illustrate van Gogh’s development as an artist.
