DESCRIPTION:  THIRD QUARTER 17TH CENTURY
From tile of Judith and depicting Nebuchadnezzar sending Holofernes to trot down the lsrelites, with standing above the kneeling general, the borders woven with fruiting baskets alternating with scallope shells masks at the angles, the upper central border inscribed NABVCHODONOSOR REX HOLOFERNEM PRINCIPEM MILITALIA SVA ADVERSVS ISRAELEM MITTIT and the lower selvedge woven with the Brussels town mark and the weavers H. REYDAMS.
