DESCRIPTION:  Excellent example of Bay Area Abstract Expressionism, from Richard Ayer (1909 - 1967). Artist works recently included in Blair Collection exhibition at Crocker Art Museum in 2004. Ayer was a Bay Area mainstay, working on WPA projects and murals and exhibiting regularly, including at SFMOMA in 1940. From artists' estate.

Condition: Very Good original condition. Could perhaps use a cleaning.
