DESCRIPTION:
|
A rare and important subject for Misonne that has a more modernist feel than much of his other work. The grandson has written to verify that the print was made by his grandfather in pencil on the verso of the print. The metabrome process was Misonne's particular version and adaptation of the bromoil process, which was later used by other Pictorialists such as Mortensen. Provenance: Grandson of the Photographer. See: Schwabik and Misonne, Leonard Misonne: Ein Fotograf au Belgien 1870-1943, n.p. for a slight variant. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania and New York buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
