DESCRIPTION:  Most of Zanine's furniture design from the late 1960's through the 80's consisted of unique pieces that found a specific place in a home that was designed and constructed by him. This leads us to come across pieces such as this, that clearly had a specific purpose in mind when designed for on such home. Here, as always, Zanine has employed an exotic hardwood native to Brazil, but from carefully sourced recycled material. He is widely regarded to be among the first truly ecologically conscious architects and furniture craftsmen whose profound respect for nature came from his Brazilian origins, but was greatly augmented by extensive world travel to roughly 120 different countries.

The glass top is 1/2 inch thick.
