Biography
Born in New England in the summer of 1862
Attended Phillips Andover Academy and School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Lived in Paris and attended the Académie Julian but returned home to the US in the summer of 1889
In 1926, he was struck with polio, and had to learn to paint with his left hand.
