Biography
1887 Born November 15th; Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
1905 - 1906 Attends the Art Institute of Chicago.
1907 - 1908 Attends the Art Students League, New York.
1908 Wins the League’s William Merritt Chase still-life prize for her oil painting Untitled (Dead Rabbit with Copper Pot).
1914 - 1915 Studies teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York.
1915 Starts teaching at Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina.
1924 Marries internationally known photographer, Alfred Stieglitz.
1962 Elected to the 50 member American Academy of Arts and Letters.
1986 Dies March 6th; Santa Fe, New Mexico.
