Lucio Boschi began taking photographs when he was 20 years old, and, completely self-taught, he has pursued his interest for nearly two decades. Lucio took his first series of photographs while traveling throughout his native Argentina and the neighboring countries of South America. Since then he has traveled with his camera overland to Alaska, spent six months in the Yukon, traversed Siberia by train, and crossed China on a bicycle. His intimate, beautiful photographs display his extraordinary understanding and respect for the lands and cultures he encounters. |

Boschi's travels formed the basis of the exhibitions Imagenes al Andar (Images on The Road) and Colores de los Andes y Colores de los Himalayas (Colors of the Andes and Colors of the Himalayas), which have been presented in Argentina and Canada. He has published four books, most recently Senores de la Tierra (Men of the Earth), 1996 (out of print) and Los Pueblos de los Andes (The Andean People), 2000, which is available through the gallery. |
