1915 Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, February 26
1934 Attended Guadalajara Free School of Painting through 1934
1934 Begins his work as a mural painter in 1934 with the fresco Educacion Socialista in the Escuela Carlos A.
1937 Founding member of the "Taller de Grafica Popular" (Popular Graphics Workshop), practicing graphic printmaking styles based on Mexico's folkfloric traditions, the powerful calavera iconography of Posada, and the passionate expressiveness of Spanish artist Francisco Goya y Lucientes.
1938 Founding member of the Taller de Grafica Popular
1941 Studies and teaches in USA
2006 Died, January 13
Founding member of the Salon de la Plastica Mexicana and teacher in the Escuela de Artes Plasticas of the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico
