Biography
1955 - 1959 studied at the Art Students League of New York
1960 Budnik began his photography career as Philippe Halsman's assistant.
He eventually worked for Life, Sports Illustrated, and Vogue magazines
1963 Budnik persuaded Life to have him create a long-term photo essay showing the seriousness of the Selma to Montgomery march
1998 The American Society of Media Photographers awarded Budnik to its 1998 Honor Roll Award
Budnik lives in Tucson, Arizona
