Biography
1914 Born September 3, 1914 in Havana, Cuba
1926 Admitted at the Institute of Havana
1930 - 1932 Studied Painting at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes "San Alejandro"
1934 - 1941 Studied law and social sciences at the University of Havana
1949 Founded the Asociación de Pintores y Escultores de Cuba (APEC).
1972 Received Hororable Mention, "Segunda Bienal de San Juan del Grabado Latinoamericano", Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
1973 Awarded “Homenaje a Picasso”, Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), Washington, D.C.
Awarded Cintas Foundation Fellowship, New York City
1974 Moves to Puerto Rico
1996 Moves to Miami
2005 Awarded an honorary doctorate of the arts from Florida International University
2008 Died October 30, 2008 in Westchester, NY
