1889 Born in Lavrik, Norway
1905 moved to eastern Canada to live with his sister; worked as a hard-rock driller in a mining concern
1919 Settled in Los Angeles and established a Studio
1925 Commissioned by the King of Norway to do a painting for the royal palace
1975 Died in his Los Angeles home
Professor at Chouinard and Otis Institutes
