Griffin's paintings fuse abstract and figurative elements to represent man's never-ending attempt to make sense of life. He focusses particularly on issues of love, and the denial of love, in a personal and a wider cultural, political sense. Griffin's paintings are deeply compassionate and intimate. He explores not only the possibilities of painting, but also what it means to be human - and the concepts of freedom, justice and humanity. |
