She has just been nominated by Micheal Glover as ‘Outstanding Artist’ 2007, in the Independent Saturday Magazine ‘Talent 2007’. Her sculptures are typically large scale, site specific, colourful and organic looking, constructed by gluing polystyrene beads together. Hedgecock’s work explores the formal relationship between the drawn image and constructed object. Her process mimics drawing through the possibility for continuation. Like a drawn image created from an infinite number of marks, it has the potential to keep growing. Aisling’s work was selected to represent ROLLO at the London Art Fair 2007.
