After the first world war, he worked in Paris. Exuberantly rejecting art nouveau and oriental style designs, he preferred very simply forms and pure lines heightened by a monochromatic glazing. This slight change of course accompagnies his satin or matte glazes. In the middle of the 1920's, he created many beautiful pieces : vases, cups and bowls which sometimes were inspirational of Chinese forms. These objects were covered in glazes of diverse colors: green, yellow, pink, purple and blue. It had a subtle and sublime effect. |
