Born in St. Gallen/Switzerland. His father is the well known Swiss painter Carl August Liner. |

Begin of his studies at his fathers studio. |

First trips to Italy, Greece and Egypt. Studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. |

Studies at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris/France. |

Serves in the Swiss Army all during world-war II. |
|

|
His father dies. To cope with the loss, to paint becomes a necessity. |

Keeps studios in Corsica and Paris/France. |

Discovers the South of France and buys an old tower in Fontvielle which he transfers into a studio and into his living quarters. |
