Biography
1895 Born in Lyon, France
1923 Went to Paris after studying under E. Laurent in Lyon
1924 Won a Bronze medal in the Salon of French Artists and the same year he won the "Prix de Rome" in Rome, where he spent a great deal of time painting
1974 One month before his death, the Le Havre Musee opened the first major retrospective of his works.
He is now represented in the Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris, as well as other French, European and American museums and private collections.
