1949 Graduated from Azim Zade Art College, Baku
1955 Graduated from V.I. Surikov State Art Institute, Moscow
At the time in Moscow he studied with some of the leading non-conformist artists such as Ilya Kabakov, Eric Bulatov and Oleg Vasilev.
