Biography
Born in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1970. She is a Dominican artist living in New York since 1989. Her involvement in the arts started at early age in her native country, where she was part of a young group of artists under the teachings of Nidia Serra, a renowned Dominican artist. They created murals, posters and stage designs, as well as represented the Dominican Republic in numerous art competitions and exhibitions; including China, Spain, Korea, Germany and others.

She graduated from the Altos de Chavon/The School of Design (affiliated to Parsons School of Design) in 1989. That same year she came to New York to finish her studies at parsons, which she finished in 1991 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA). Since then, she has been actively developing her art and experimenting over the years with mixed media, drawings, installations, video art, etc…

Her work has been exhibited in the USA, Dominican Republic, Spain, and other places abroad. Currently she resides and works in Brooklyn, NY.
