Mr. Chaet was the William Leffingwell Professor in Painting at Yale University, where he taught from 1951 to 1990. Mr. Chaet’s honors include a National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities grant (1967-68) and a Distinguished Teaching of Art Award, College Art Association (1986).
