Biography
French artist, Pierre Bittar is world renowned for his Impressionistic oil paintings. Born only eight years after the death of Claude Monet, the father of Impressionism, he completed his first oil painting at the age of 10. He won 1st prize at his graduation from the Art Academie, the gold medal at the Salon of French Artists in Paris, an honorary prize at the Salon of Marine Painters in Paris, the International Albrecht Durer prize, 1st prize at the Leonardo de Vinci Art Academy, 'Best Landscape' at the Salon of French Artists, a gold medal in Nice and a gold medal in the city of Le Chesnay, outside Paris. Bittar continues to study and develop the Impressionist way of painting 'en plein air'.
