| Landscape painter Chris Dixon lives in Westbrook, Connecticut. He graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in 1987, and completed the school’s Fifth Year Program in 1990 with a concentration in landscape painting. Chris was awarded “The Dana Pond Award” for painting in the 1990 Annual Student exhibition. In the autumn of 2003 and 2004 Chris participated in the 7th and 8th annual workshop and seminar offered by the Plein-Air Painters Of America. In May of 2004, Chris was juried into the Connecticut Academy of Arts 93rd Annual Exhibition at the Mystic Art Association. In February 2005, Chris exhibited in the Scottsdale Artist’s School’s “Best And The Brightest” juried fine arts show and in March he exhibited in the 104th New Haven Paint & Clay Club juried art show. His work was also exhibited in the Mystic Maritime Gallery’s 26th and 27th International Show in 2005 and 2006. Currently he is exhibiting in the Lyme Light Exhibit at the Lyme Art Association. In 2002 Chris became an Elected Member of the Lyme Art Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He is also an active member of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club and exhibits his work at the Mystic Maritime Gallery in Mystic, Connecticut. Biography courtesy Susan Powell Fine Art |
