1839 Born in Moscow, Russia
1851 - 1857 Student of K. Zaryanko and S. Skotti in the Moscow Art, Sculpture and Architecture School
1862 Awarded with the Golden medal
1858 - 1863 Studied in the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg
1867 Member of the Academy
1869 Professor of the Academy
1872 Received an award for the painting "Peasant dinner at the harvest field". Participated in the International exhibition in London and visited Italy.
1875 - 1876 Travelled to Middle East, Serbia, Bulgaria.
1876 Lived in Paris and travelled in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan and more.
1889 Won Gold Medal at the International Exhibition in Paris
1898 Active Member of the Academy
1911 Was elected a chairman of the St.Petersburg Union of Artists
1915 Died in St. Petersburg
