Biography
1933 Born: in Tokyo, Japan
1960 Staged legendary loft events on Chambers street with friend La Monte Young and also provided to artist John Cage
1964 "Cut Piece", a film documenting Ono’s best-known action work, is performed in Japan
1966 Met John Lennon of The Beatles, creates film No. 4 (Bottoms)
1973 Released album "Approximately Infinite Universe"
1982 Won Grammy Award in the Album of the Year category for “Double Fantasy” with John Lennon and Jack Douglas
1995 Returned to music with son, Sean Lennon, and his band Ima Rising, released album "Rising"
2001 Released album, “Blue Print For Sunrise”
2003 Toped US dance music charts with a reworking of “Every man Has A Woman Who Loves Him”, a song she co-wrote with John Lennon, to support gay marriage
2005 Released book, “Memories of John Lennon”
