Cosson was a French artist who specialised like his muse, Degas, in depicting subjects from the theatre, the ballet and from the world of horse racing. He was also a painter of still life. He was a member of the Society of French Artists and was awarded an honourable mention in 1901 and a third class medal in 1911. He also exhibited at the Salon de la National and at the Tuileries. E.
