Biography
1922 Born in Dundee, Scotland
1939 - 1941 Worked as an illustrator for a national periodical publisher in Scotland before serving in the RAF for the rest of the war
1946 - 1948 Studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London
1948 - 1950 Lived in Paris
1952 One of the young British sculptors whose work was shown at the 26th Venice Biennale
1953 - 1961 Became Visiting Artist at the Central School of Arts and Crafts
1964 - 1972 Taught sculpture at the Central School
