Since its foundation in 1983 the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac has specialized in European and North American contemporary art. Today the gallery's headquarters are housed in the Villa Kast on Salzburg's Mirabellplatz. The 600m2 exhibition space of the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac Paris is located in Le Marais near the Picasso Museum and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2000. The gallery organizes extensive solo and group exhibitions not only on their own premises, but also with museums and other non-commerical art institutions. They also represent their artists at all major art fairs such as Art Cologne, Art Basel, Art Chicago, Frieze Art Fair, ARCO, Art Basel Miami, the Armory Show and the FIAC in Paris. The Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac acts as consultant to major museums and public institutions and as an advisor for private and corporate collections.
Depuis la Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac est fondée en 1983, elle s’est spécialisée en l’art contemporain Européen et de l’Amérique du Nord. Aujourd’hui, la galerie principale se trouve en Mirabellplatz en Salzburg. Il y a également, depuis 1990, une espace d'exposition de 600m2 à Paris dans le quartier Marais près du Musée Picasso. La galerie s’organise plusieurs expositions individelles et groupes dans la galerie ainsi qu’aux musées et aux diverses institutions artistiques.
