The nationally renowned Roger King Gallery of Fine Arts has been a part of historic Newport for over twenty years. As the original fine arts gallery of Newport, it has been a leader in the presentation of 19th and early 20th century art. Clientele range from museums and corporations to the novice art lover.

The Roger King Gallery of Fine Arts is located on picturesque Bowen's Wharf, the home of many classic sailing vessels, and America's Cup Twelve Meter yachts. In keeping with this tradition of maritime history, the gallery offers the works of prominent marine artists such as James Buttersworth, Antonio Jacobsen, William Stubbs and many others.

The Roger King Gallery of Fine Art is also dedicated to the study and presentation of works by early African-American artists such as Edward Mitchell Bannister, Robert S. Duncanson, Henry Ossawa Tanner and Joshua Johnson. Museum curators and sophisticated collectors have shown considerable interest in the accomplishments of these artists whose work has emerged as a major contribution to the history of art in America.

Images of the collection are available upon request. The gallery also offers art appraisals and performs restoration and conservation work.
