UNION was founded in September 2003 by Jari Lager, director. Since then the gallery has been committed to presenting the works of young emerging artists.



The gallery's broad program of exhibitions and artists has brought interesting and regionally diverse young practitioners to the UK, many for the first time. 


Exhibitions have gained critical success in the UK and internationally, and have helped artists to develop and assert themselves strongly on an international level.



UNION maintains an intensive relationship with artists represented exclusively by the gallery and is particularly active in the mentoring and promotion of their work.


The gallery has recently moved to new offices in the vibrant East End, where it operates from its latest space on Teesdale Street in Bethnal Green, as well as running a dynamic programme of external exhibitions and events.
