Waqas Wajahat has over fifteen years of experience in fine arts institutions, including managing artists and artist estates at KnoedlerK& Company and The John McEnroe Gallery, both in New York. For the past few years he has actively contributed and helped raise funds to support exhibition programs at a number of non-profit institutions.

After studying art history at the University of Pennsylvania and at the Barnes Foundation, Waqas Wajahat gained curatorial experience at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He is one of the founding board members of the D.U.M.B.O. Arts Center in Brooklyn where he fostered the growth of emerging artists by curating shows and raising funds for the exhibitions program.

Waqas Wajahat has served on various juries including the Maine Biennial at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and has been a lecturer and visiting critic at the International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York, The Center for Emerging Visual Artists in Philadelphia, Boston University College of Fine Arts and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
