The Eleonore Austerer Gallery opened its desert location in 2001 to complement the well-established San Francisco gallery near Union Square, which Eleonore Austerer owned and operated from 1988 through 2002. Originally from Vienna, Austria, she has more than thirty years of experience in the fine art business, including 22 years in San Francisco, and is committed to showing only the finest quality artwork and maintaining the highest level of integrity and ethical standards.
The gallery specializes in originals and limited edition graphic work by major 20th Century Masters, as well as international contemporary painting and sculpture.
On display are original paintings and works on paper by Georges Braque, Marc Chagall,
Edgar Degas, Joan Miró, Fernand Leger, Pablo Picasso and Rufino Tamayo.
The graphic collection consists of rare prints ranging from the early works of Gauguin,
Klee & Kandinsky to the 1930’s surrealism of Miró, the simple line drawings of Matisse,
the iconic figures of Henry Moore to the bold and primary color geometry of Calder.
In the contemporary wing are rotating exhibits displaying the gallery’s extensive collection consisting of contemporary paintings and sculpture in various media by well established European, American and Latin American artists, ranging from hyper-realism to abstraction.
