The doors to the CornerHouse Gallery & Frame opened in 1976, offering an exhibition venue for contemporary, professional artists of the Midwestern States. Since that time, our original 1906 building has grown to house over 3,000 square feet of gallery space plus an extensive onsite-framing studio. In addition to emerging and mid-career 20th and 21st century artists with Midwestern ties, the CornerHouse focuses on the work of Grant Wood, Marvin Cone, Thomas Hart Benton and Conger Metcalf. The Midwest is known for its warm and genuine people. Our staff prides themselves on their friendly nature while adapting their extensive backgrounds to the needs of each of our audiences: the first-time buyer, the experienced collector, the business professional. We provide a complete line of art related services including appraisals (membership in the International Society of Appraisers), conservation (paper and painting), and framing (including guilding and restoration). We welcome your inquiries.
