The Cooley Gallery specializes in fine American paintings and works on paper of the 19th and 20th centuries, including the Hudson River School, Impressionism, and select contemporary realism. Set in a deceptively large 19th century building, our four diverse exhibition galleries have been described as "a cool, quiet oasis where tranquil, intimate, all-is-right-with-the-world landscapes of 100 years ago are a visual and mental balm." Our extensive inventory represents a broad range of styles and subject matter with prices ranging from $500 to over $100,000. Contemporary realist work, including landscape, still life, tromp l'oeil and figurative work, is priced between $200 and $15,000. The gallery is easily accessible from Interstate 95 just off of exit 70. We are just down the street from the renowned Florence Griswold Museum, site of the country's best known Impressionist art colony, and several other galleries and fine restaurants. Special exhibitions with accompanying full-color catalogues are presented regularly.
