Established in 1981 by partners Sylvia Ripley and Christopher Addison, Addison/Ripley is one of Washington's foremost galleries. Relocated from the historic Dupont Circle carriage house it occupied for more than fifteen years, the gallery presently resides in a light filled location on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown.
The gallery exhibits both the work of leading area and internationally recognized artists. Painting, sculpture, photography and fine arts prints are among the disciplines presented. Addison/Ripley Fine Art acquires art for private, corporate and institutional clients from sources such as gallery exhibitions, private collections and at auction.
A member of the Art Dealers Association of Greater Washington, the gallery is located at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Reservoir Road in upper Georgetown.
