Spécialiste de la peinture du 19ème et du début du 20ème siècle, Mathias Ary Jan a ouvert une galerie au 38 rue de Penthièvre, après avoir exposé au Louvre des Antiquaires. Il y présente des tableaux de la Belle Epoque, principalement des artistes français ou étrangers ayant travaillé à Paris. Ses artistes de prédilection sont Victor Gilbert, Felix Ziem, Eugène Galien-Laloue, Luigi Loir, Paul César Helleu ou encore des paysagistes de l'école de Barbizon tels Trouillebert ou Julien Dupré. La galerie est très attachée à la qualité et à l'état de conservation des oeuvres présentées ainsi qu'au caractère confidentiel qu'elle entretient avec ses clients. En 2002 et 2006 ont été organisées par la galerie deux expositions sur l'artiste Felix Ziem, dont une comprenant plus de 40 oeuvres inédites.
Specialized in painting from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Mathias Ary Jan has opened a gallery at the 38 rue de Penthièvre, after leaving the Louvre des Antiquaires dealers. He exhibits paintings of the Belle Epoque, mainly French artists or foreign artists who worked in Paris. His artists of predilection are Victor Gilbert, Felix Ziem, Eugène Galien-Laloue, Luigi Loir, Paul César Helleu or the landscape artists of the Barbizon School such as Trouillebert or Julien Dupré. The gallery is very attentive to the quality and to the state of the conservation of the paintings presented, as well as preserving a confidential relation with its clients. In 2002 and 2006, the gallery organized two exhibitions about the artist Felix Ziem, one of them presenting more than 40 works of art.
