GRIFFIN was established in 1997 and has grown to become one of the largest West Coast galleries today specializing in international, contemporary art. The gallery currently represents a select group of internationally acclaimed artists, including Greg Colson, Leon Golub, Richard Long, Liza Ryan, James Turrell, and Peter Wegner. Over the last few years, the gallery has presented exhibitions of work by Richard Serra, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Therrien, John McCracken, and Joseph Beuys.
In addition to working closely with its core artists to facilitate institutional projects throughout the world, W.L. Griffin Editions has published extensively on the visual arts and has released numerous artist books, catalogues, and monographs.
