Lillian Heidenberg Fine Art was founded in 1975. The gallery quickly established itself as one of the leading art establishments in New York, collaborating with important modern masters including Henry Moore and Lynn Chadwick. For many years, the gallery space was situated in the heart of the art scene on West 57th Street. Year after year, the exhibitions reflected Lillian's dedication to preserving the past while simultaneously breaking boundaries with younger artists. Today, the gallery continues to span an incredible period, from Renoir to Mathew Barney, showing 19th and 20th century masters alongside the contemporary avant-garde.
The gallery became private several years ago and more recently, moved into a beautiful new space designed to show art within the intimate context of an art deco inspired residence. An extraordinary setting, it is constantly evolving, creating new interactions between works as diverse as a Tom Wesselman nude and a Henry Moore mother and baby, or an Antony Gormley sculpture against the backdrop of a Juliao Sarmento painting and a Leger gouache.
Lillian Heidenberg Fine Art is a longtime member of the prestigious Art Dealers Association of America. We have also exhibited at many of the most established American art fairs including Art Chicago, Art of the 20th Century (New York), Palm Beach Art and Antiques Fair and the ADAA Art Show. The gallery has built wonderful collections for both museums and private collectors around the world and remains one of New York's most renowned galleries.
We hope you will come visit the exciting new space!
