The gallery is very much a family business and is now in its second generation. It has recently been renovated and modernized and, under the active management of Debby Luzia, is introducing a new generation of Israeli artists alongside the classic art that the gallery is famous for. This combination creates an interesting and stimulating atmosphere.

The gallery's founder has worked not only as an art dealer but also as a restorer, and today Stern Studio has the reputation as a leader in this field.

Stern Pissarro Gallery, based in London, has a unique position in the art world as the only gallery to specialise in Camille Pissarro and four generations of Pissarro family artists. These include Camille, Lucien, Georges-Manzana, F�lix, Ludovic-Rodo, Paul�mile, Orovida, H.Claude, Yvon and L�lia, and the family tree can be viewed on www.pissarro.net. The gallery was established in 1963 as Stern Art Dealers dealing in 19th Century art, and a separate department for 19th Century paintings still exists.
