En 2003, elle déménage de la Vieille Ville pour ouvrir ses portes dans le Quartier des Bains, épicentre de la culture contemporaine de la ville, et devenir une adresse incontournable, à quelques pas du MAMCO (Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain) et du CAC (Centre d’Art Contemporain).

Aujourd’hui, ses deux espaces d’exposition totalisant 500 m2 lui permettent d’exposer différents projets souvent produits par la galerie et de représenter aussi bien des artistes établis que de jeunes artistes orientés vers les nouvelles technologies.

Marina Abramović, Per Barclay, Wim Delvoye, Jan Fabre, Nan Goldin, Hervé Graumann, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Jennifer & Kevin McCoy, Cornelia Parker, Not Vital entre autres y ont déjà montré leurs travaux.

La galerie édite également un catalogue pour la plupart de ses expositions, avec une préface commanditée spécialement pour l'événement à un écrivain, à un poète ou à un critique d'art. Par ailleurs la société Bärtschi-Salomon Editions, créée en 1999, publie des monographies d’artistes, comme celles de Georges Rousse, d’Henri Michaux, d’Hervé Graumann, de Jan Fabre, d’Ernest Pignon-Ernest.

La participation de la galerie à de nombreuses foires d’art contemporain, notamment à ARCO, Armory Show, ArteFiera, Artbrussels, FIAC et Art Cologne, lui a permis de développer sa notoriété sur le plan international.

2007 est une année majeure pour les artistes de la galerie avec un film présentant les 7 Easy Pieces de Marina Abramović au Guggenheim à NYC, la représentation des Pavillons nationaux à la Biennale de Venise par les artistes Rafael Lozano-Hemmer et Giuseppe Penone, respectivement pour le Mexique et l’Italie, après avoir tous deux intégrés la collection du MoMA. Le GAMeC (Bergame) a honoré Jan Fabre d’une exposition individuelle parallèlement à la 52ème Biennale de Venise. Par ailleurs, trois des cinq artistes du groupe Automatic Updates exposé au MoMA durant l’été 2006 sont représentés par la Galerie Guy Bärtschi : Cory Arcangel, Jennifer & Kevin McCoy et Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.

La galerie Guy Bärtschi a participé à Art Basel Unlimited 07, avec un projet de l’artiste Rafael Lozano-Hemmer en collaboration avec la galerie OMR (Mexico) et Bitforms (New York) pour la production et la réalisation.

En 2008, la galerie Guy Bärtschi a été très heureuse de présenter une importante œuvre de l’artiste Fabrice Gygi en collaboration avec la galerie Chantal Crousel à Art Basel Unlimited 08.

La galerie a l’honneur de présenter durant tout l’été 2008, la dernière exposition de Marina Abramović, 8 Lessons on Emptiness with a Happy End. Dans cette exposition, l’artiste expose pour la première fois au public son nouveau projet réalisé au Laos, dans le contexte de The Quiet in the Land, financé et produit par la galerie. La galerie a également présenté, au début de l’année, une exposition individuelle de Wim Delvoye, Viae Crucis.

Deux autres points importants à mentionner sur les artistes de la galerie sont la dernière exposition de Jan Fabre en relation avec la peinture flamande au Musée du Louvre à Paris et la nomination de Fabrice Gygi en tant qu’artiste représentant la Suisse à la prochaine Biennale de Venise.

Present on the Geneva art scene since 1990, the Galerie Guy Bärtschi has throughout the years been able to evolve towards a unique and well defined exhibition program, confirming its particular focus on the art from the 80's until today.

In 2003, the gallery moved to a brand new space in the QuArtier des Bains, at the heart of the city's art district, thus becoming one of the French speaking part of Switzerland's most important addresses for contemporary art. The Galerie Guy Bartschi stands out for the international visibility of its artists, the number and quality of the exhibits it presents and for its commitment in the specific production of works of art asked by its artists regularly. Its reputation has also grown thanks to its presence, as one of the Swiss galleries, in international art fairs.

Today, its three exhibition spaces - the ground floor, the basement and the recently inaugurated project room - amounting to 500 square meters, allow the gallery to simultaneously present different projects often produced especially for the gallery, thus representing both established artists, as well as young artists oriented towards new technologies and providing them with a promotional platform.

Artists, such as Marina Abramovic, Per Barclay, Wim Delvoye, Jan Fabre, Nan Goldin, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Jennifer & Kevin McCoy, Cornelia Parker, Giuseppe Penone, and Not Vital have now shown their work here. On the occasion of most individual shows, the gallery publishes a catalogue staging the artists' recent work.

2007 marked an important year for the gallery's artists, with Marina Abramovic who presented a film at the Guggenheim New-York based on the performances she had done in the same museum a year before, and with Rafael Lozano-Hemmer and Giuseppe Penone representing respectively Mexico and Italy at the 52nd Venice Biennale 2007, after having both entered the collection of the MoMA through the gallery in 2006. The GAMeC (Bergamo) honours Jan Fabre with a solo show and a collateral event to the 52nd Venice Biennale. Besides, three out of five artists in the group show Automatic Updates shown in 2006 at the MoMA are represented by Galerie Guy B„rtschi: Cory Arcangel, Jennifer & Kevin McCoy and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.

Other highlights of this years are the comprehensive exhibition of Marina Abramovic at Galerie Guy Bärtschi, where she presents for the first time her new project realized in Laos, in the context of "The Quiet in the Land", which has been produced by the gallery, or Wim Delvoye's solo-exhibition where the Viae Crucis-series is shown to the public for the first time, as well as the nomination of Fabrice Gygi to represent Switzerland at Venice Biennale 2009, or Jan Fabre's monumental exhibition in relation to the Flemish Painting at the Louvre in Paris.
