Diane Upright is a private art dealer and consultant for individuals, museums and
corporations specializing in Modern and Contemporary American and European
Masters. Diane Upright Fine Arts is the exclusive agent for the Estate of Morris Louis.
Other artists represented in the inventory or acquired for clients during the past several
years have included the Americans Willem de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, Adolph
Gottlieb, Robert Motherwell, Kenneth Noland, Ed Ruscha, David Smith, and Frank
Stella, and the Europeans Pablo Picasso, Jean Arp, Georges Braque, Alberto Giacometti,
Wassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, and
Edouard Vuillard.
Drawing upon her twenty years' experience in the arts as a professor of art history
(Harvard University), museum curator (Fort Worth Art Museum), gallery director (Jan
Krugier Gallery, New York), and auction house executive (Director of Contemporary
Art, Christie's, New York), she founded Diane Upright Fine Arts in 1995. She assists in
the formation and maintenance of art collections, including assistance with auction
purchases. In addition, she provides appraisals and offers consulting services for
insurance companies and law firms.
