The Allan Stone Gallery opened in 1960 showing works by Wayne Thiebaud, Richard Estes, Cesar, Robert Ryman, Eva Hesse, Joseph Cornell, Andy Warhol and John Chamberlain. The gallery continues to focus on contemporary art while carrying a tradition of expertise in the New York School of Abstract Expressionism (Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, Arshile Gorky, John Graham, Joseph Cornell).
