How to Bid
When you view the detail page of a lot up for auction,
you will see a “Place Bid” button.
Clicking it will open a form;
type your bid amount into that form and click Continue.
You will also have the option to enter a “Maximum Bid,”
which means artnet will automatically bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount entered.
You will then have the option of confirming or cancelling your bid.
For “Purchase Now,”
there is no step in which you enter your bid/offer, since a “Purchase Now” involves a
fixed price.
Please understand that “Place Bid” and
“Purchase Now” – assuming you are the winner – are all legally binding contracts under artnet’s
Terms of Use.
