Welcome to Art & Auction House HERR, which was established in Cologne in 1982. In August 2009 the renowned auction house was taken over by Mr. Jürgen Schops and Mr. Thomas Turowski. The new owners lead the auction house HERR with enthusiasm and a lot of effort. The auction house HERR is specialized in fine and applied arts of the twentieth century. With professional experience of many years and thereby acquired competence Jürgen Schops and Thomas Turowski successfully expanded the department "design" at auction house HERR.
The primary focus of our auctions, which take place two to three times per year, are the fields of:
- Jugendstil/Art Nouveau
- Art Deco
- Bauhaus
- Design of the 20th Century
The structure of our auctions is divided in two parts. In Part I (applied arts) handcraft objects out of the following fields are to be called: Silver, Metals, Jewelry, Porcelain, Ceramics, Glass, Sculptures, Paintings and Graphics. Part II focuses on extraordinary design furniture and lamps of the 20th century.
We offer our customers an international forum for selling art and design objects. For every auction we design high-quality catalogues with art historically proved catalogue texts and detailed descriptions of every object. Museums and important collectors are among our customers.
Furthermore we offer you as a permanent service our professional advice and estimate your art objects at no charge and without commitment.
