Sotheby's moved into the galleries at 34-35 New Bond Street in 1917, having had premises in the Strand since the founding of the company in 1744. This prestigious location has since become a destination for collectors, connoisseurs and art lovers alike with sales ranging from porcelain to Picasso, furniture to Old Master paintings, books to wine.
